Mandie Wehr, DVM

Dr. Mandie Wehr grew up in Cheboygan, Michigan and enjoyed six years living on an island in Alaska before settling down in Maine. She received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Lake Superior State University and earned a DVM degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the team at Auburn Animal Center, Dr. Wehr worked in shelter medicine at Midcoast Humane, emergency medicine and provided relief at several veterinary practices. Dr. Wehr has presented lectures at multiple national and regional animal welfare conferences. Her special interests include dermatology and preventive medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Wehr enjoys kayaking, collecting sea glass, hiking and reading. Dr. Wehr lives in Auburn, Maine where she enjoys spending time with her family and pets including two dogs, her cats and a pasture pet pony.
